“courage”

12/17/11                                                             Day 22:  “courage”

“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and
stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”  ~ A.A. Milne
{Winnie-the-Pooh: Christopher Robin to Pooh}

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes
to sit down and listen.”  ~  Winston Churchill

“How few there are who have courage enough to own their faults, or
resolution enough to mend them.”  ~ Benjamin Franklin

I imagine most of you have watched “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”…yes?  A great
example
of courage.  You’ve got Rudolf , the Abominable Snowman and then there’s
the elf
who wants to be a dentist.   All three have courage issues to overcome.
You also have
Rudolph’s father, and Santa…who eventually find the courage to listen.

When we are children, we don’t realize the message of the show until we get older
and see that same show…in a different light.  It’s a show for young and old, for
entertainment
and for inspiration.  It’s a wonderful tradition and a reminder this
holiday season to
have the courage to be brave, to believe in yourself, mend your own
faults…and to listen.

Happy holidays!
